Seed Hardening, Foliar Spraying and their Combined Effect on Yield and Yield Attributes of Groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) in Different Seasons

Abstract
The experiment was conducted during the summer and kharif seasons of 2022 using a Factorial Randomized Block Design with three replications. The study examined two factors: seed hardening, with nine levels, and foliar application of Chlorocholine chloride (CCC) at a concentration of 500 mg/L, with two levels. Results indicated that the treatment involving seed hardening with GA3 of 100 mg/L, combined with the foliar application of CCC, led to a significant increase in the number of pods per plant (35.14), pod yield per plant (36.74 g), seed yield per plant (19.97 g), seed yield per hectare (2255.02 kg), and harvest index (28.30). Conversely, the control, which did not receive any seed hardening or CCC treatment, showed the lowest performance in all measured traits, highlighting the importance of these interventions in maximizing crop yield.
